About Jai Johnson: Jai is a multi-faceted artist, creating outstanding traditional paintings in a variety of media, as well as unique digital paintings, and commercial artworks. She is also a published author, having written both fiction and non-fiction books, stories, and tutorials. She graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 1986 with a degree in office management. After college she entered the accounting field, and worked in this field for 20+ years, preparing payroll, financial statements and tax returns. She also studied marketing, and went on to create direct mail postcard marketing campaigns for small businesses which resulted in a 3.85% return.
While very successful with her office, administrative, marketing and accounting ventures, Jai experienced a longing to become what she wanted to since age 5 - an artist. In 1997 she launched an online business selling vintage costume jewelry on Ebay, and through this adventure, she learned and moved into costume jewelry design work before eventually finding her way back to art and painting - her true passion.
Jai spends 15-18 hours a day working on the variety of art and designs you see at the above websites. In addition, she is a mom to two children, whom she homeschools, and she cares for an entire zoo of pets, including dogs, cats and birds.
In addition to being proficient with all types of office equipment and phone systems, Jai is proficient on the following software: Quickbooks Pro, Excel, Microsoft Word, Publisher, Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, and Eudora.
